The Ferrari thing came together at Art Basel Miami in 2015. Got to paint a real F430 Challenge — one of those track cars built for speed, no compromises. White script across that red body, just letting the symbols ride the curves. Had to use aviation-grade paint because of the heat off the engine. That part was wild. The car had a blue stripe down the middle, number 64 on the hood. I painted "Tribute to NART" on the fender — that's the North American Racing Team, the crew that brought Ferraris to the States back in the day. Felt right to honor that history. My alphabet against Italian engineering, ancient-looking marks on a machine built for the future. They brought me in through the Macaya Gallery. A friend said I should see what my script looks like on a car body. Turns out the contrast between organic strokes and mechanical precision — that's where the energy lives. The red and white, the speed, the tradition. All of it speaking the same language even though none of it uses words.
